"So... I suppose I'm curious."
"What about, young one?"
"Well, why... how... did you find me?" Lur'dal asked.
"Why, because of your research's progress! You've accomplished so much in so little time. People talked of this boy in the Academy, naturally I was led there to find you," replied the cloaked figure.
"My research was not exactly a subject of discussion of mine, the only one who trully knew the extent of my work, and he never spoke of it to others." Lur'dal began to eye his mysterious mentor. "Who spoke of my work? And how did you find where I lived?"
A raspy sigh emanated from beneath the cloak. "I suppose there's no hiding it.

Meeting of the Inner Sanctum
The room was abuzz with the sounds of indistinguishable conversations. People stood in the room, surrounding an oval table lined with black chairs. At the back, near the emblazoned banner of the USRP fist and swords, sat an imposing chair colored a crimson red. Suddenly the conversations were broken by a silent but deliberate swing of the double doors that were the sole entrance to the room. Though the doors opened silently, save a slight breeze of pushed air, everyone at once dropped their conversations and stood attentive to the approaching figure with salutes.

Brothers and sisters! Children of the earth! Listen to my words, and take heed! This is not the imperial 'Terra Guard' who wishes to extend their tyranny beyond the reaches of your home world! This is not the elitist 'HaloTech' who both promises a brighter future for mother earth while bombarding her with weapons beyond comprehension! We are outcasts shunned from the home world; we are believers in freedom as the government wishes an iron fist; we are the Unified Soldiers for Reclamation Party, and we are a party made for the people by the people based solely on the most important principle: freedom.

Late Night Poem - Finished
One in the morn and I can't sleep, though I get up in just five hours.
I think of her and warmth runs deep, I ask for help from higher powers.
Her image frozen on the screen
Is what I hope for in my dreams,
Though my mind should animate
That picture of a wondrous date.
Because in that shot she's not alone,
My arms give her a loving home
And I know not what price I'd pay
To enjoy again that day.
Tampa's malls, a little far,
But happilly I traveled in my car,
Friends packed in and we all pine
To see this wondrous girl of mine.
(Though mine she's not, I suppose,
We love each other, I can disclose.)

The sun rises on another day and strikes the solemn gray walls of the distant keep. The stone gives no thanks to the sun for the given light, not does a new life stir within. The keep stands as still as ever, quietly yet restfully fulfilling its purpose: guarding the labyrinthine nightmare that lurks in the mountain against which the keep is built. Those dank dungeons within bristle with life, or in some cases, dark twisted mockeries of life. No adventurer, hero, or champion has successfully plumbed its depths, yet the dungeon has happily claimed more than a fair share of said men.

So I'm at my Aunt's place in Connecticut now and, not knowing what to do, I figure I'll post a journal here. Not that DA is gonna be seeing much of me any time soon, but I am gonna be updating my Story of Kredith at some point. I almost lost my notes for D&D, which would have been quite bad. And I have learned there are fewer weirer places to sleep in than a room made for a little kid.
Fucking.
Amazing.
If you've never heard of him, do yourself the biggest favor you can do and look him up. "Chiron Beta Prime" is probably the most amazing christmas song you'll ever hear. "Ikea" is just plain funny. "The Presidents" is an awesome abridged history of our presidents. And of course, "Still Alive" is practically a religious hymn among the nerdy. So if you're as nerdy as I am, and you likely are if you're here, check it out.
